The August 7th, 2005 National City Automobile Heritage Days car
show in Kimball Park was well attended with almost 300 cars on display.
Buicks did well in the classes they were entered. Joseph Ambrose
won 1st in the Classic Car category with his 1937 Buick Limited
limousine shown below as it made the parade tour with another 70
cars prior to the car show.
Most Buicks were strewn around the show field in individual classes
were they competed against other makes and models from the same
era or condition. Some local BCA members on the field included Jill
and Brian Palhegyi, Father Sweeney, and John Harris. There were
also a few non-BCA Buicks scattered about. Pictures of the Buicks
on the field can be found below.
In the Buick Riviera Class (the one Buick-only class), Dick Sweeney
won 1st place with his 1965 Riviera Grand sport, Richard Vargas
won 2nd place with 1965 Riviera, and Dusty Ward won 3rd place with
his newly acquired 1965 Riviera. Ward also has a 1956 Buick 2 door
